Art Auction Houses Establishing Affiliated Galleries Based on the Theory of Planned Behavior
Based on the theory of planned behavior, this paper investigates the planned behavior of art auction houses in establishing affiliated galleries and finds out the following causes for this planned behavior:behavioral attitude of art auction houses that believe their own economic benefit is more important than industry ethics;scarce regulation from stakeholders and social groups;and strong perceived behavioral control over the behavior of setting up affiliated galleries.Corresponding countermeasures are also proposed to address the causes of the behavior, including:auction houses should adhere to the normative behavioral attitudes of the industry;auction houses'behavior of establishing affiliated galleries should be properly guided;and auction houses'beliefs in perceived behavioral control should be reduced.
