Forward Modeling of Jia-2 Reservoir Seismic Response Characteristics in the Puguang Area
The Jia-2 carbonate reservoir is characterized by thin thickness, low porosity, and permeability in the Puguang area of northeast Sichuan with complicated exploration, which is difficult to predict the reservoir directly. The forward modeling is established based on the geological, logging, and seismic characteristics of Jia-2 different reservoirs. The results show that the logging characteristics of the Jia-2 reservoir are primarily characterized by lower density, higher speed, higher impedance, lower gamma, and relatively higher porosity. The velocity and impedance of the reservoir are higher than those of gypsum and limestone and lower than those of dolomite, and the density of the reservoir is lower than gypsum and dolomite and greater than limestone. The forward modeling of the Jia-2 reservoir mainly includes the single reservoir model, multiple reservoir model and wedge reservoir model. When the thickness of the reservoir exceeds 22 m in the single reservoir model, the top reflection of the reservoir is enhanced. The reservoirs of the multiple reservoir model with a thickness of less than 9 m have no obvious reflection characteristics in the forward profile. The top reflection of the reservoir with a thickness of more than 13 m increases with the increase of the reservoir thickness in the wedge reservoir model.
