A Study on the Fire Spread Pattern of Ships with Dual Fire Sources Based on Pyrosim
This study takes a typical passenger ship as the research object, uses Pyrosim to simulate multiple ignition sources fire, and analyzes the impact of different distribution of ignition sources on the spread of fire. The results show that multiple ignition sources significantly advance the temperature and carbon monoxide concentration to dangerous critical values compared with a single ignition source, but the fire visibility is less affected.Among them, the time when the visibility of a fire with multiple ignition sources on one floor reaches the dangerous critical value is 26%earlier than that of a single ignition point on one floor.A fire scenario with multiple ignition sources on the same floor also has a more significant impact on fire temperature, carbon monoxide concentration, and visibility compared with a fire scenario where the ignition sources are not on the same floor.Among them, the time when the CO concentration of multiple ignition sources in one layer reaches the dangerous critical value is earlier than in other situations.
