Research Progress of Aurivillius-type Layered Photocatalyst
Photocatalysis technology with its unique advantages, such as the use of solar energy as a driving force, mild reaction conditions, and no additional chemical reagents, has become a hot spot of current research, and the key to its practical application is to develop efficient and stable photocatalysts.Aurivillius layered photocatalysts stand out from many photocatalysts by virtue of their unique alternating stack structure and significant interlayer polarity difference, which effectively promote the directional separation and efficient transport of photogenerated carriers. In particular, the alternating positive and negative polar charge layer in its structure serves as the reduction end and oxidation end of the photocatalytic reaction, respectively,to achieve accurate adsorption and efficient activation of reactant molecules and spatial separation of reaction sites, thus significantly improving the efficiency and selectivity of the photocatalytic reaction. This paper systematically introduces the latest research progress of Aurivillius-type layered photocatalysts in photocatalytic oxidation and reduction reactions. It discusses its modification strategies in depth, aiming to provide a solid theoretical basis and research framework for the further application of such catalysts in the photocatalytic total reaction system,to promote continuous innovation and development in the field of photocatalysis.
