Experimental study on the factors influencing the formation of coal char particles
Yulin is the birthplace of the semi-coke industry and the largest production base in China. However, the application of semi-coke powder products has always been a problem that troubles production enterprises. The powder coal forming technology can promote the efficient utilization of powder coal resources, improve the dust pollution problem generated during coal transportation. The study uses Shanxi semi-coke powder and 0~6 mm bituminous coal powder prepared by two-stage hammering equipment as raw materials, and the company's self-developed new two-stage spiral extrusion mechanism was used to produce coal char particles. The effects of four factors, namely particle size ratio, moisture content, porosity, and stirring time,on the strength of coal char particles were studied. The results show that in the distribution of broken particle size of bituminous coal, the proportion of 3~6 mm is 3.92%,and the proportion of less than 1 mm is 63%,which can achieve close stacking and increase cohesion. The molding moisture range of coal char particles is 22%~24%,and the optimal molding moisture for this experiment is 23%.The theoretical calculation of the mold porosity in this design is about 20%.The dry material mixing time should be 2 minutes, the water mixing time should be 4 minutes, and the total mixing time should be controlled at 6 minutes.
