Experimental study of heavy sand induced removal of highly coal and rock suspended mine drainage
As convenient and environment materials, heavy sand loaded coagulation precipitation is widely used in efficient and rapid treatment of mine drainage with high suspended solids. However, few systematic studies on the effect of heavy sand characteristics on coagulation treatment of high suspended mine drainage. Therefore, the typical high suspended mine water was selected to analyze the effect of coal particles, rock particles and coal-rock mixture on the efficiency of high suspended matter mine water treated by loading coagulation with heavy sand. The results showed that the effect on high suspended rock mine water treated by loading coagulation with heavy sand were negligible, however, the appropriate amount addition of heavy sand was helpful to improve the efficiency and rate of coagulation and precipitation. The more heavy sand added, the faster the efficiency and rate of coagulation and precipitation increased, nonetheless, the effectively of high suspended coal mine water treated by loading coagulation with heavy sand were weaker. With the decrease of coal content and the increase of rock content in mine water, the efficiency and rate of loading coagulation treatment with heavy sand would increase correspondingly. These results can effectively ensure the efficiency of high suspended matter mine water treated by loading coagulation with heavy sand and alleviate the contradiction of water shortage in western China.
