Effect of fly ash particle size and mass concentration on performance of filling slurry
In this paper, the effects of different particle size of fly ash on the rheological and strength properties of filling slurries,as well as the coupling effects with ash-sand ratio and concentration were investigated.Using coal gangue, fly ash and cement from a coal mine in Guizhou as raw materials, filling slurries with different ash-sand ratios, different particle sizes of fly ash and different concentrations were prepared, and the rheological and strength properties of the filling slurries were tested by a rheometer and a pressure tester, respectively. The results show that the ash-sand ratio has a significant effect on the rheological properties of the slurry, with the increase of the ash-sand ratio, the yield stress and viscosity coefficient of the slurry increase dramatically, resulting in the reduction of the flow performance of the slurry;the particle size of the fly ash has a certain effect on the rheological performance of the slurry and the strength of the filling body, but the degree of influence is different, within a certain range of particle size, the effect of the particle size of the fly ash on the fluidity of the slurry is greater than that on the strength of the effect; The coupling effect of mass concentration and fly ash particle size shows that the effect of mass concentration on the rheological properties of the slurry and the strength of the filling body is much larger than that of fly ash particle size, and the effect of fly ash on the strength of the filling body increases with the increase of the maintenance period. The results of this paper have important theoretical and practical significance for optimizing the proportioning design of filling slurry and improving the filling efficiency and quality.
