Research on on-line measuring system of concentration field in non-contact thickener by pressure difference method
Accurate measurement of slurry concentration in thickener tanks is critical for determining the appropriate dosage of reagents, which directly impacts the effectiveness of the subsequent slurry dewatering and recovery process. To address the limitations of traditional slurry concentration detection methods, such as delayed response and significant measurement errors,a non-contact online concentration field detection system based on the differential pressure method was developed. The system's accuracy was validated by comparing the on-site detected density with synchronously sampled test density.Using MATLAB software, density contour maps were generated for a visual comparative analysis. The analysis of the density contour map shows that at a depth of 2.2 m below the liquid level and 16 m from the center of the thickener, the detected density was 1 069.17 kg/m3,while the sampled density was 1 070.12 kg/m3,resulting in an absolute error of 0.95 kg/m3.These results demonstrate the excellent accuracy of the online detection system.
