The physical&chemical characterization of high sulfur coal gangue and the exploration of pollution control
By conducting research to understand the current status of the Liupanshui coal gangue storage yard and utilization in Guizhou,physical and chemical properties of high sulfur coal gangue were analyzed as samples to explore ways of reprocessing and utilization.The situation of the storage yard was simulated,and the trends and leaching characteristics of the main metals and toxic and harmful elements in the leaching solution of high sulfur coal gangue were analyzed under different particle sizes and soaking times.The results indicate that high sulfur coal gangue has a high content of SiO2,Al2O3,and Fe2O3,which can be recycled and processed as new material raw materials.The content of Fe,Mn,Pb,and Cd in the leaching solution of high sulfur coal gangue is relatively high,and the trend of change is basically consistent with that of SO42-.Harmless measures such as desulfurization,adding alkaline materials,and bacterial strains can be used to reduce sulfur content and minimize activation conditions.Fresh high sulfur coal gangue has a very high risk of acid production and a long release cycle.Even after the sulfur content reaches the landfill standard through pre-treatment,regular monitoring should still be emphasized to prevent potential pollution risks.The research results can provide reference for the recycling,reclamation,and environmental prevention of high sulfur coal gangue.
