The research on Yuan Ren's poetic view of The Question of Maoshi and the classic interpretation characteristics
Yuan Ren was a Confucian scholar in the Ming Dynasty, and The Question of Maoshi was his academic work explaining The Book of Songs.Based on the revival of sinology in the middle and late Ming Dynasty and the academic tradition of Yuan family,The Question of Maoshi manifests a clear negation of Zhu Xi's"obscene poetry theory"and an acceptance of Confucius'poetic view of"thinking purely".When the academic research in the middle of Ming Dynasty turned around,Yuan Ren advocated respecting Preface to Poetry and devaluing Zhu Xi's Biography of Poetry, which showed an obvious sinology orientation in dredging the meaning of the scriptures, and contributed to the sinology movement from the middle and late Ming Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty.
