The Confucian thought of"great unification"in pre Qin and Han Dynasties had a long history and rich content, mainly including two aspects, namely political unity and institutional unity.Zuo Si was deeply influenced by Confucianism. His representative work Ode to the Three Capitals was closely related to the Confucian concept of"great unification".Whether it was the narrative order of Wu and Shu and later Wei,or the spatial description and political ideals in the Fu,they all attempted to express the central position of Wei and belittle the local political power of Wu and Shu.The"great unification"ideology in Ode to the Three Capitals also reflects Zuo Si's political orthodoxy centered around the cultural orthodoxy of propriety and benevolence and the geographical orthodoxy of the Central Plains, with the purpose of defending the Western Jin regime.
