Research on the Collective Memory of"the Third-line Workers"from the Perspective of Life Course——Based on the Oral Study of"the Third-line Workers"in Luzhou City,Sichuan Province
The Third-line construction refers to the national defense construction of relocating and constructing military, industrial, scientific institutions and factories to the southwest and northwest hinterland of China to block foreign enemies and balance the in-dustrial layout of China from 1964 to 1980.Although more and more studies have focused on the sociological aspects of the third-line construction, there are few studies concentrating on the collective memory of"the Third-line workers"from the perspective of life course.Adopting in-depth interview mainly, this study focuses on"the Third-line workers"who have experienced the third-line con-struction,and analyzes their life course and collective memories from"internal relocation-factory entry-restructuring-retirement".This paper argues that the similar but different life courses of"the Third-line workers"have shaped their collective memory, and gives a theoretical reflection on the construction of collective memory of"the Third-line workers"from the perspective of life course. The life course and collective memory of"the Third-line workers"not only reflect the change of historical conditions, but also provide a glimpse into the inter-construction of individual initiative and macro-systems,which,to a certain extent, can provide a new analytical perspective for related research.
