Latin American Chinese Communities and Their Organizations and Activities for Anti-independence and Pro-unification
Regardless of the immigration process,the way of living or social connections after arriving at the destination,the overseas Chinese in Latin America all exhibit obvious characteristics of close geographical relationship with blood ties as the core,which have direct impact on the formation and operation of the overseas Chinese groups in Latin America.The types of the vast majority of Latin American Chinese overseas communities can be classified from the three dimensions,namely,cross-regional scope,contact links,and activity areas.Since the 21st century,a number of anti-independence and pro-unification organizations have emerged in the Latin American Chinese overseas community,established fixed contact and coordination mechanism,and carried out effective activities.China's Taiwan-related overseas Chinese affairs work should take striving for and encouraging the ethnic identity of pro-Taiwan overseas Chinese communities as an important task at present,start from promoting and encouraging the soft consensus of ethnic and cultural identity of pro-Taiwan overseas Chinese,and drive the construction of national identity with ethnic and cultural identity.
