The current construction and breakthrough in art education have close link with the integration and transformation of multiple disciplines such as art,education and psychology.In the mid-20th century,taking the advantage of moderniza-tion of democracy,Japan initiated the aesthetic education movement.This post-war civilian reform movement,based on the clear intention of enlightenment and popularization of creative aesthetic education,has achieved multidisciplinary promotion of aesthetic education through the collision of ideas among scholars in different fields such as artist Kitagawa Tamiji,art crit-ic Sadajiro Kubo,educator Hiroshi Sugou and psychologist Isamu Kawaguchi.The theoretical and practical outcomes gener-ated by this multidisciplinary collaborative model provide positive enlightenments for upgrading China's aesthetic education.
