British higher art education is renowned for its emphasis on fostering students'innovation skills and nurturing their individuality.Influenced by political systems,cultural traditions,and the stage of undergraduate education,British higher art institutions share similarities with those in China while exhibiting differences in objectives,curriculum design,cultivation modes and course assessments for undergraduate talent cultivation.To propel the advancement of undergraduate art education in the contemporary era and enhance the quality of undergraduate talent cultivation,Chinese art institutions can draw valuable lessons from British higher art institutions in the following four aspects.Firstly,they should prioritize the development of ar-tistic thinking skills and incorporate the enhancement of overall competencies into the core objectives of talent cultivation.Secondly,they can enhance the curriculum structure by promoting interdisciplinary elective courses.Thirdly,tailoring art education content to individual aptitudes helps create personalized learning content for students.Lastly,placing emphasis on the evaluation process and implementing diversified course assessment.
