摘要
以亚里士多德为代表的古希腊美学思想"净化说"对审美快感的评定标准涵盖情绪净化与道德净化两种立场:前者意指情绪缓和,即通过宣泄消解,过度的哀怜、恐惧情绪归于平静;后者隶属内隐层面的情操陶冶,表现为品性态度的濡染熏陶.而中华传统理论资源对情绪与道德的内涵解读更有着不同于西方的本土化诠释:肇自中华传统医学思想的情志相胜理论认为不同情绪之间存在相互制衡关系,因此审美愉悦可以通过对负性情绪的颉颃克制发挥情绪净化的第二功用;发轫于先秦儒家思想的礼宜乐和传统则为情操陶冶赋予了"修身"与"平天下"双重含义,不仅有助于涵养为人、治事、律己的修身态度,亦是引导个体仁、义、礼、智等社会公德之关捩所在.
Abstract
Early discussions on aesthetics mostly focused on the essence of beauty,aesthetic phenomenon and aesthetic processes,while often ignored the analysis of aesthetic functions.Aesthetic function is mainly reflected in the influence of aesthetic appreciation on individual psychology,which is the intermediary and bridge between aesthetics and aesthetic educa-tion.On the basis of traditional Chinese theoretical resources and Western philosophical aesthetic thoughts,this paper aims to construct a theory of aesthetic function with Chinese characteristics through the combination of logical argumentation and theoretical circumstantial evidence-the aesthetic catharsis theory with the mentality of critical absorption and the perspective of inter-explanation between Chinese and Western thoughts.The theory holds that aesthetic appreciation has cathartic effect on individual psychology,which is manifested in two aspects:emotional catharsis and moral catharsis.The former includes emotional relaxation and the mutual promotion and mutual counteraction(MPMC)of affect,while the latter includes"self-cultivation"at the individual level and"making the world peaceful"at the social level.The construction of aesthetic cathar-sis theory plays an important role in promoting Chinese aesthetic spirit and enhancing the self-confidence of national culture.
