略论日本近代美育思想的发展

摘要
18世纪德国美学家席勒提出了通过艺术教育培养完善人格的美育概念.这一西方美育思想在19世纪明治维新期间通过留学生介绍及文献翻译等方式传入日本学界.由于当时日本社会的情况,美育思想并未对日本产生深入的影响.大正时期,在"自由教育运动"的引导下,日本教育界开始重视艺术教育对人格塑造的重要作用.至昭和初期,人们进一步认识到艺术教育的意义在于促使个体生命的内在成长,而非通过艺术强化或平衡某种能力.然而,随着日本国家政策的转变,昭和中期后美育逐渐成为控制国民思想的工具,"美育"一词也退出了日语常用词汇之列.
Abstract
The concept of cultivating perfect personality through art education was put forward by Schiller,a German estheti-cian in the 18th century.This idea of Western aesthetic education was introduced into Japanese academic circles during the Meiji Restoration in the 19th century through the introduction of overseas students and the translation of literature.However,due to the situation of Japanese society at that time,the aesthetic education thoughts failed to have a deep impact on Japan.In the Taisho period,under the guidance of the"Free Education Movement",the Japanese educational circle began to attach importance to the role of art education in shaping personality.Later on,in the early Showa period,people further realized that the significance of art education was to promote the inner growth of individual life,rather than strengthen or balance cer-tain abilities through art.However,with the change of Japanese national policy,aesthetic education gradually became a tool to control national thought after the middle Showa period,and the term"aesthetic education"gradually withdrew from the list of common Japanese words.
