On Violence Narrative and Solidarity Utopian in Invisible Man
With the help of Galtung's Theory of Violence, this paper analyzes identity dilemma and life dilemma faced by the black people in a white dominated society in Invisible Man,as well as the impact of violence on racial unity and the construction of community society from three dimensions:the specific manifestation of different types of violence in the novel, racial barriers and unity disorder represented by violence, and enlightenment for community construction from violence narrative, which further conveys Ellison's sense of crisis for the development of western modern culture, and his reflection on the solidarity disorder of black and white races in American society.
