The morphology of the word"Dui Hui(堆豗)"first appeared in the Song Dynasty,and its usage has been relatively mature.Many chronological dictionaries have explained it for this reason,but most of them only include the meaning of"tired and weak appearance",and there is no discussion on the etymology of"Dui Hui(堆豗)"at present.After investigation and analysis,through the method of seeking righteousness by voice,the article believes that"Dui Hui(堆豗)"actually comes from the change of the synonymous compound word"Hui Tui(瘣穨)"containing the sememes of"disease","swollen"and"drop",and extends the two meanings of"lethargy due to illness"and"(morbid)carbuncle swelling".At the same time,by searching the Dictionary of Chinese Dialects,it is found that a series of word forms derived from"Hui Tui(瘣穨)"are still used in modern Chinese dialects.
