"Settling litigation and ending disputes"is the intention expression of people's mediation work,and"helping people to help themselves"is the core value of social work.Both hope to solve certain non-confrontational problems between people and society from different perspectives,and promote the justice and unity of social groups.Through the cases of social work participating in people's mediation,it is found that there is a possibility of logical interconnection between people's"settling litigation and ending disputes"and social work's"helping people to help themselves",and the logical chain is manifested as the validity after self-help in solving,helping people in mediation and reconciliation.Based on this,the intervention of social work in people's mediation can be regarded as an effective form of Chinese and local social work,which is a feasible paradigm to implant professional social work into the Chinese social culture and integrate with the administrative work with characteristics of social work in China.
