仪式贯穿摩梭人的一生,无仪式不文化.摩梭人从出生到死亡会经历不同的仪式,比如拜太阳仪式、满月仪式、成人礼、敬锅庄仪式、进火仪式、葬礼仪式等等.这些仪式蕴含着摩梭人对世界、对生命的认识,表达着对生活的期盼和祝福.摩梭人因文字未能保留完整,仪式就不仅成为摩梭人传承传统文化的重要手段,而且成为个体得到族群认可的途径之一,甚至个体通过仪式来巩固和树立自己的权威.随着时代的发展,许多传统仪式发生了相应的变化.婚俗仪式作为摩梭文化别具一格的风俗,研究婚俗仪式的时代变迁,可以更好地反映摩梭文化的独特性.对于进一步探讨摩梭人婚俗,增进对摩梭人婚俗的了解与理解,具有重要的理论与实践意义.
