Current Situation and Trend of Research on Education about Forging a Sense of Community for the Chinese Nation in Minzu Colleges and Universities:A CiteSpace Visual Examination
Colleges and universities in China stand as indispensable pillars within the country's education framework,pivotal in propelling the na-tion towards high-quality development and the nur-turing of new productive forces deemed essential for the country's modernization drive.These insti-tutions has been entrusted with a dual mission of cultivating innovative talents equipped with cutting-edge knowledge and skills,as well as instilling in-dividuals with dedication to the Communist Party of China(CPC),the nation,and the new era of China.Furthermore,incorporating the conscious-ness of the Chinese national community into every facet of educational activities and pedagogical methodologies is viewed as a fundamental compo-nent of ideological and political education at the higher education level.This approach seeks to transcend mere academic pursuit,and is seen as a strategic imperative for shaping individuals who are well-prepared to navigate the complexities of the new era.It is about enhancing college students'i-dentification with the great motherland,the Chi-nese nation,Chinese culture,the CPC,and so-cialism with Chinese characteristics.This article employed CiteSpace software to visually analyze literature on"Education about Forging a Strong Sense of Community for the Chi-nese Nation in Colleges and Universities."Initial-ly,a visual analysis of the authors and research in-stitutions within the literature sample reveals that the top three contributors in this field are all from Minzu colleges and universities,and scholars and institutions from these universities or ethnic regions command a significant share of scholarly output.This suggests that Minzu colleges and universities are at the forefront of solidifying the awareness of the Chinese national community.Subsequently,a co-occurrence and clustering analysis of literature keywords shows that key research focal points prominentlv feature e.g.Minzu colleges and uni-versities ethnic minority college students,emo-tional identity,ideological and political education,the curriculum of ideological and political educa-tion,practical paths,and the core values of social-ism.These are considered pivotal themes for exe-cuting the overarching mission of"fostering virtue through education",indicating that"the great ide-ological and political course"is viewed as an es-sential vehicle for forging a strong sense of commu-nity for the Chinese nation.Lastly,by examining the keyword timeline and mutation maps,it is found that the evolution of keywords aligns with the development trajectory of advancing the collective consciousness of the Chinese national community.They all appear to focus on the value orientation of forging a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation in colleges and universities,with cultivating individuals aligned with the ethos of the new era as an ultimate educational goal.However,the analysis also acknowledges cer-tain lacunae within current research,particularly concerning theoretical innovation,thematic diversi-ty,and empirical standards.Therefore,this paper critically suggests that future research should en-hance institutional collaboration and research team construction,deepen scholarly investigations across all universities,strengthen empirical research methodologies,innovate theoretical frameworks,harness digital research technologies,and explore the establishment of an effective evaluation mecha-nism for the core work of Minzu colleges and uni-versities.This could help foster a shift towards more creative and innovative research practices on solidifying the awareness of the Chinese national community in colleges and universities in the new era of China.
