A Probe into the Cultural Symbols of"Pan Gu Dance"in the Han Dynasty——Taking the Image of Pan Gu Dance in the No.2 Stone Tomb of Mizhi Guanzhuang as an example
The dance of the Han Dynasty was often widely spread and developed in various forms in the lives of different social classes,and"Pan Gu Dance(槃鼓舞-Pán Gǔ Wǔ)"is one of them.As one of the dance images that was extensively carved in the Han Dynasty tomb relics,it offers people to observe the style of this dance in a concrete way about two thousand years later.This article focused on a portrait stone engraved with the image of"Pan Gu Dance"in the No.2 Tomb of Mizhi Guanzhuang as the main research object.Through the definition of its category and the interpretation of its overall theme image,the cultural symbolic significance of dance equipment"Pan","Gu",and dancers,the religious and cosmological views of the Han Dynasty can be traced back,which also provides a new entry point for grasping the style of modern practical creation in Pan Gu Dance.
