Status Investigation and Strategic Construction of the Disciplinary and Academic Systems of Traditional Chinese Opera and Quyi Studies
Faced with the following problems:serious theoretical and practical disconnection between the construction of disciplinary systems in traditional Chinese opera and Quyi studies,the scarcity of teachers with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills,and the lack of a systematic and high-quality curricu-lum,the future development of these disciplinary systems requires a clear focus.The primary goal is to in-herit and develop traditional Chinese opera and Quyi,scientifically classify the disciplines into subcatego-ries,and cultivate educators and researchers who can combine knowledge and skills,as well as theoretical literacy and innovative capabilities.The construction of the disciplinary system should be carried out with top-level design,centralized,and unified planning,and systematic textbook development.Currently,the field of traditional Chinese opera has made significant achievements in areas such as the compilation of opera liter-ature,research on opera artifacts,conceptual and systematic studies,ancient opera research,modern and contemporary opera research,overseas dissemination of opera,puppetry,and shadow play.However,the academic system of traditional Chinese opera has not yet reached a complete state,leaving ample room for improvement.Quyi studies has seen rapid development and substantial achievements in the past decade,but the construction of its academic system is still in its early stage.The construction of the disciplinary and aca-demic systems of traditional Chinese opera and Quyi should adhere to the idea that theoretical research serves practical needs.The academic community should focus on addressing the urgent issues in the protection,in-heritance,and development of traditional Chinese opera and Quyi.Research should cover all types of operas and Quyi,exploring their history,status,characteristics,and development trends.National and provincial-level research projects should be used to supplement and improve the content of the academic systems,with a particular emphasis on promoting the construction of the Quyi academic system.A favorable academic atmosphere should be fostered,with high-quality outcomes as the goal of academic research.Since tradi-tional Chinese opera and Quyi are included in the same discipline with many commonalities,the develop-ment of traditional Chinese opera studies should proceed hand in hand with Quyi studies.
