From Street to Auditorium:30 Years(1920-1950)of the Drama Movement in Yunnan Campus
Yunnan's campus drama activities were not entirely led by the outside institutions that moved to Yunnan at that time, but driven by inside spontaneous driving force, whose influence extended beyond the campusand caused discussions at the social level.Based on the background of the dissemination of theatrical publications during the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, and under the effect of the national unity of the will to fight during the war time, the group of teachers and students had a strong group ability and collective will to transform written publications into expressive actions, which thus became the main body of the Yunnan street theater movement. They participated in both theoretical and practical discussions of the stage language during the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression.Drama performance activities, which were active in the streets in the 1930s,went into auditori-um in the 1940s,showing the overall characteristics of large-scale,institutionalized,and complex. The thirty years of Yunnan's campus drama movement provide the following insights:campus drama should be the main trend of social drama, the paradigm shift of institutionalization may not be entirely positively induced, and the original content of campus drama should be emphasized.
