Interpretation and Dispute:Subject Orientation and Methodological Reflection of Neurocinematics
Neurocinematics is an interdisciplinary research method that combines the characteristics of cogni-tive neurology and film research under the background of the rise of pancognitive neuroscience.Although the research of neurocinematics is still in the initial stage,the establishment of the theory of"mirror neuron"and"embodied simulation"indicates that the application of cognitive neuroscience to film research is in line with the universal law of human cognition.As far as the existing academic practice is concerned,neurocine-matics shows research potential which is different from the traditional methods in terms of the cognitive mech-anism of film,the empirical test of film theory,and the analysis of film aesthetic style.To carry out the ex-perimental research of neurocinematics,we should pay attention to the dialectical relationship between exper-imental environment and natural scene,keep the specificity of film research in interdisciplinary research,and always be alert to instrumental rationality and neuroreductionism.
