From Field to Spiritual Realm:A Study of the Boundaries,Types and Working Methods of Virtual Field
In the face of the virtual world constructed in multiple dimensions by the digital network, fieldwork has shifted from the"field"to the"spiritual realm".Art anthropologists take the"second life"of human beings in the digital space and the virtual art world as the research object, and participate in,observe and experience the people, objects and events in the"second world"in the virtual field, and then conduct re-search on"human thinking about themselves".In the context of digital existence of human beings, the boundaries of fields, identities, and the boundaries between the"I"and the"others"are becoming increas-ingly blurred,so that virtual art anthropologists only need to work in the open digital space constructed by 0 and 1,through the"substitute",to carry out interactive,real-time,and immersive field investigation. Then, the writing paradigm of virtual ethnography has been fundamentally changed.
