City art district is a space for art practice that is formed by art immigrants,where the process of urbanization meets the development of art's inherent life logic in China.This space not only reflects the intri-cate network of relationships in the art production system,but also correlates with the aesthetic changes brought about by the transformation of social and cultural structures.With the disciplinary responsibility and value orientation of paying attention to China's social realities,art anthropology research has carried out con-tinuous field practice in urban art districts,focusing on the shift of capital economy to knowledge economy under the great changes of the times,as well as the exploration of the margins and avant-garde of contem-porary art spaces,the transformation of heritage and resources,and the production and consumption of art landscapes,and so on.These works forms a large number of ethnographic narratives of art,which reveal the tensions between art spaces and art practitioners,social actors,and their art production systems.
