The Spatial Relations and Metaphors in the Dagur Language
n this paper,we analyze the spatial concept in the Dagur language through a multi-dimensional lens.It provides a detailed description and analysis of the morphological elements pertinent to spatial relations, such as the allative, locative, and ablative cases,as well as reduplication and affixation. The focus extends to spatial metaphors, geographic space,spatio-temporal mapping, and other cognitive models. The spatial expressions in the Dagur language exhibit considerable diversity.Spatial metaphors derived from human body parts are notably abundant and distinctly represented within the spatial concepts.A significant correlation exists between the temporal and the spatial domains, with the Dagur people conceptualizing time in terms of"time movement".
