Research on College Staff's Title System:A Qualitative Study of Policy Documents of Double-first Universities
With the decentralization of the professional title evaluation,some universities have expanded the development pathways by streamlining the professional title policy to motivate staff's rise.This study used the Nvivol2 software to examine the texts of professional title policies of 10"double first-class"universities.It suggested that the system of university professional titles follows the goal logic of promoting common development,the practical logic of sustaining job characteristics and the mechanism logic of fostering fair governance while there are still practical dilemmas in policy system,evaluation orientation,qualification match and evaluation process.It thus proposed that it is necessary for universities to formulate coordinated and stable policy systems and operational policies,return to the evaluation guidance of management excellence and optimize the review process to lay a sustainable foundation for college staff construction.
