On the Evolutionary Mechanism of Network Public Opinion in Colleges Based on Social Combustion Theory
The development of information technology makes the opinion dissemination easier on the Internet,which not only promotes the diversity of ideas,but also affects the fermentation of Internet public opinion.The special network public opinion of colleges and universities is characterized by its particularity of subjects,shallowness of speech,diversity of carriers,and suddenness.This paper constructs the evolutionary mechanism model of network public opinion in universities from the perspective of Social Combustion Theory(SCT).It concludes that the fuel for social unrest is a social conflict,that the combustion agent is the breeding of network rumors and media public opinion,and that the emotional collision of internet users in the process of rumor combustion serves as the ignition temperature.Therefore,it is of vital importance to explore the SCT-based guidelines for the Internet public opinion of major events in universities.It recommends that the control of public opinion should pay attention to the combustion substances,the positively guidance of the fuel elements,reducing the ignition temperature,and streamlining the combustion stage.
