Model and Path of Teachers Transformation in Application-Oriented Colleges and Universities
This article used the NVivo 12+ and qualitative analysis software to examine the policy texts of the Ministry of Education and the provincial and municipal administrations on the"application-oriented transformation of undergraduate colleges and universities"from the perspective of the grounded theory to construct the theoretical model of teachers transformation in the application-oriented higher learning institutions. The results showed that the teachers transformation mainly includes the three dimensions of concept, input and capability,of which the conceptual transformation is the endogenous driving force for the transformation that directly stimulates teachers'input transformation while the conceptual transformation and the input transformation are the premise and foundation of the capability transformation as the fundamental requirement.Authors thus recommended that it is necessary for teachers to create a cultural climate for application transformation to mobilize teachers'awareness of participation and reform, strengthen the faculty's identification of professional value to foster a career plan in line with a university's advance, renovate the mode of teaching input to stimulate the output-oriented applied research, consolidate the responsibility of teachers development centers to perfect faculty training mechanisms, improve the guaranty system for organizational support to push forward the construction of enterprise-college cooperation platforms, and increase the posts of industrial instructors to remove the obstacle of the last mile for the integration of industries and universities,to enhance their transformation in the development of applied universities..
