Current Status and Trend of Teachers Education Research in China:A Data Analysis of the National Education-Science Planning Projects
The National Education-Science Planning projects are designated to solve theoretical and practical problems in the educational development and reform,with the characteristics of significant frontiers,comprehensiveness and orientation.This paper examined the data and the subjects of the national education-science planning projects to be approved from the years of 2006 to 2023 to reveal the development trend and existing problems of studies on teachers education,which is helpful to project the further research in this field.It found that,despite its stability in quantity,the current research on teachers education is unbalanced in the units and regions with approved projects and with limited cooperation,and that further theoretical studies are needed while core research subjects has been widely-concerned in the perspective of contents.It also found that there are insufficient project results and achievements while there being common practices attached to the projects.The authors,accordingly,recommended that is imperative to strengthen the collaboration of the research units,mobilize teachers to participate in the projects,consolidate the theoretical research on teachers education,and increase the review and supervision of projects results.
