Suggestive Impact of Emotions on College Students'Empathy for Pain
The current study explore the impact of emotions on college students'empathy for pains and the moderating role of the sense of intimacy. The results showed that materials-induced emotions enhance empathy for pain while the sense of intimacy does not play a moderating role significantly. This finding suggested that eliciting emotions may be referred to as an easy and effective approach to educational practice to promote empathy for pain and avoid bullying incidents. It thus proposed that educational materials can be applied to develop affective teaching schemes that focus on students'biological response as efficiency indicators for mental health courses.
