Criticism of Cultural Colonialism in the Context of Globalization
With the deepening of globalization,the whole world is increasingly intertwined in economy,politics and culture,the status of culture in international competition is becoming increasingly prominent,and the cultural field has gradually become a new stage of colonial expansion in today's world.Cultural colonization is a kind of colonization that takes the masses as the main object and aims to maintain or seize political and economic interests through tacit cultural infiltration.Through cultural colonization,Western countries have destroyed the cultural system and self-confidence of nation-states and even the diversity of global cultures.In order not to be invaded by the wave of cultural colonization,China should consolidate socialist ideology to resist cultural penetration,carry forward the splendid traditional Chinese culture to strengthen cultural self-confidence,and promote the construction of a community of shared future for mankind to reshape the pattern of world civilization exchanges.
