Based on the provincial panel data from 2006 to 2020,this paper uses the coupling coordination degree model to measure the integrated development level of the logistics industry and manufacturing industry. It has been found that the degree of integration and development of the two industries in various provinces of China is gradually increasing, and the overall integration and development of China's logistics and manufacturing industries are in a coordinated stage of transition from a low level to a high level.(1)Differences exist in the integration of logistics and manufacturing industries between provinces, with Zhejiang,Jiangsu,Shandong, and Guangdong having the highest level of integration development.Central and western provinces have improved rapidly, while Jilin,Heilongjiang, and Liaoning provinces have regressed.(2)Using fixed effects to test the impact of the degree of integration of two industries on changes in total factor productivity,it was found that the improvement of the degree of integration of two industries can promote the improvement of regional total factor productivity. This conclusion is still significant under models such as IV-GMM and IV-LIML.(3)The improvement of the degree of integration and development of the two industries can promote the rise of the total factor productivity boundary as well as be conducive to bringing actual efficiency closer to optimal efficiency.
