A Study on Ren Shilin's Yuan Edition of Mr.Songxiang's Anthology
Ren Shilin,a Confucian scholar from eastern Zhejiang,lived on the transition period between the Song and Yuan dynasties.His poetry and prose collection was published during the Yuan,Ming,and Qing dynasties.And the edition published in Ming and Qing Dynasties have been handed down to the present,while the Yuan edition was lost in the middle of Ming Dynasty.Combined with the records of Sun Nengchuan in the Ming Dynasty,and from the manuscript Shiyuan of Ming Dynasty and the incomplete Yongle Dadian and other materials,the Yuan edition of Ren Shilin's poetry collection with the title of Mr.Songxiang's Anthology contains a total of 10 volumes.The various editions of the Ming and Qing dynasties that have been passed down to this day are not complete,and most of the articles have been preserved to this day.In terms of poetry,research has found a total of 188 poems written by Ren Shilin,which is nearly half lost compared to the 368 poems in Yuan edition recorded by Sun Nengchuan.
