Research on Financial Support for China's Seed Industry From the Perspective of the Industry Chain
The seed industry,hailed as the"chip"of agriculture,holds significant importance for food security and agricultural development.In recent years,the central government has placed high importance on the development of the seed industry and actively promoted seed industry vitalization.Financial support plays a crucial role in ensuring the healthy development of China's seed industry.This paper,from the perspective of the industry chain,points out the high-risk and long-cycle characteristics of the seed industry in China.There is insufficient innovation in the upstream research,an excess of small and medium-sized enterprises in the midstream,and challenges in conducting downstream promotion.Existing financial support measures include continuous strengthening of policy support,financial innovation throughout the industry chain,reinforcement of upstream research investment,and optimization of financial support models for small and medium-sized enterprises in the middle stream.However,challenges persist in China's seed industry financial support.Relevant recommendations for financial support in China's seed industry are proposed.
