Digital Financial Inclusion and Agricultural Green Development——From the Perspectives of Easing Financial Constraints
Under the background of agricultural ecological transformation and sustainable development, agricultural green development is a realistic path to achieve high-quality agricultural development. As a new financial model, digital financial inclusion is an effective tool to break the financial dilemma in rural areas and has become an important driving force for agricultural green development. Therefore, using the panel data of 30 provinces in China from 2011 to 2020,from the perspective of easing financial constraints, this paper deeply studies the impact of digital financial inclusion on agricultural green development. The findings are as follows:(1)From 2011 to 2020,the level of agricultural green development and its sub-indexes showed an overall upward trend, but there were great differences among regions;(2)Digital financial inclusion plays a significant role in promoting agricultural green development, among which the depth of digital financial inclusion has the greatest influence on agricultural green development;(3)Digital financial inclusion can promote the agricultural green development by easing financial constraints;(4)From the point of view of agricultural importance, digital financial inclusion has the greatest influence on agricultural green development in major grain-producing areas, and it can promote agricultural green development by easing financial constraints in both major grain-producing areas and non-major grain-producing areas. From the perspective of regional differences, the influence of digital financial inclusion on agricultural green development decreases from the East to the West, and it can promote agricultural green development in the East and West by easing financial constraints. To speed up the transformation of agricultural production mode and promote agricultural green development, this paper puts forward some policy suggestions, such as perfecting the rural digital financial inclusion market, narrowing the regional"digital divide",and enhancing the effectiveness of digital financial inclusion in agricultural green development.
