The Path Selection of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei to Build the Pilot Zone and the Demonstration Zone of the Chinese Path to Modernization
Since it officially became a major national strategy in 2014,the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy has made important progress in improving the overall regional development level,enhancing the competitiveness of core cities,narrowing the regional development gap and so on.Building a pilot zone and a demonstration zone of the Chinese path to modernization is a new historical mission and requirement entrusted to the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei by the Central Committee of C.P.C.Based on this new functional positioning,this paper discusses the importance and particularity of the development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei in the process of Chinese path to modernization from the urban,regional and strategic levels.Combined with the relationship between Chinese path to modernization and regional development,it points out the shortcomings and challenges faced by Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei in supporting the process of Chinese path to modernization with the characteristics of a huge population,of common prosperity of all,of material and cultural-ethical advancement,of harmony between humanity and nature,and of peaceful development.In view of this,combined with the requirements and direction of Chinese path to modernization,it puts forward the countermeasures of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei to build a pilot zone and a demonstration zone of Chinese path to modernization from five aspects:enhancing the population carrying capacity,steadily narrowing the regional development gap,realizing the deep integration of culture and economy,exploring the mechanism of realizing the value of ecological products and establishing an innovation system with enterprises as the main body.
