Ownership Concentration,Local Government Intervention and Credit Risk of Rural Banks
In order to increase the rural financial supply, village banks were born but whose credit risk were more prominent and some provinces village banks had frequent lightning incidents which was easy to cause systemic risks. This paper constructed a non-equilibrium panel model affecting credit risk and analyzed the influence mechanism of ownership concentration and local government intervention on credit risk of rural banks by using the data of 110 rural banks from 2014 to 2022 empirically. The results shew that:(1)the ownership concentration of rural banks had a positive impact on their credit risk; The loan concentration played an intermediary role.(2)Local government intervention had a positive impact on the credit risk of rural banks while the scale of credit played an intermediary role.So this paper optimized the governance path of credit risk of rural banks from the aspects of adjusting equity concentration, improving governance mechanism, raising access threshold, alleviating local government intervention and improving external supervision system to promote the realization of rural revitalization strategy based on the risk governance theory.
