Can Digital Finance Promote Rural Residents'Health Condition?
Based on the CLES three-period panel data,this paper empirically examines the impact of digital finance on rural residents'health using a panel fixed-effects model,and further analyses the mechanisms by which dietary consumption structure and cultural consumption affect rural residents'physiological health and mental health.It is found that digital finance has a significant positive impact on rural residents'physical health and mental health;digital finance can affect rural residents'physical health and mental health through improving dietary consumption structure and increasing cultural consumption expenditures,etc.;there are differences in the impacts of digital finance on the physical and mental health of rural residents with different risk attitudes,literacy levels,and ethnic characteristics.Accordingly,this paper puts forward the following policy recommendations:promote the high-quality development of digital finance,accelerate the promotion of the deep integration of digital finance and the health industry;improve the digital financial information service system,strengthen the accurate supply of information on the big food view and cultural activities;establish a mechanism to protect the rights and interests of rural consumers,and improve the regulatory mechanism of the rural consumer market.
