Synthesis and Antibacterial Activity of Chitosan Oligosaccharides Conjugated Streptomycin Derivatives
In order to enhance the antibacterial activity of chitosan oligosaccharides(COS),this study prepared chitosan oligosaccharides-streptomycin derivative(COS-S)using COS and streptomycin as raw materials, and further studied its antibacterial activity. The structure of the COS-S derivative was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance hydrogen spectrum, and X-ray diffraction, and its antibacterial activity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus was studied using the Oxford cup and growth curve method. The results demonstrated that COS successfully coupled with streptomycin to form COS-S.The COS-S had significant bactericidal effects against E.coli and S.aureus, and the effect was dose-dependent.The antibacterial effect of COS-S was better than that of COS.The research results provide reliable theoretical support for exploring chitosan oligosaccharides derivative as a novel antibacterial agent.
