Measurement of Rural Revitalization Development Level,Spatio-temporal Pattern, and Regional Disparities
The article, based on the connotation of rural revitalization, uses panel data from 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities in China from 2011 to 2022 to construct a comprehensive evaluation system for the level of rural revitalization from five dimensions:industrial prosperity, ecological livability, civilized rural customs, effective governance, and prosperous living standards. It then uses the entropy weighting method to statistically measure the level of rural revitalization and uses kernel density estimation,Moran's I index, and Dagum Gini coefficient decomposition methods to analyze the spatial pattern and regional disparities of rural revitalization. The study finds that:(1)The overall level of rural revitalization in China has been rising, with the central region having the highest level and the western region the lowest.(2)There is a clear regional imbalance in the level of rural revitalization in China, but this imbalance is gradually disappearing. The main reason for the regional imbalance is the difference between regions.(3)The main peaks of the kernel density curves for the national and three regions show a rightward shift trend, and there is a clear bimodal distribution in the eastern region.(4)There is a significant spatial correlation in the level of rural revitalization, with a clustering pattern of"high-high"and"low-low".
