On the Breakthrough Growth Path of Provincial Border Regions---the Comparative Analysis Based on the Economy Development of Nanyang and Xiangyang
Nanyang and Xiangyang are administrative and marginal areas of its province .In 2000—2015,breaking the con-straints of edge effects , Xiangyang ’ s GDP achieves an average annual growth of about 15 percent , which outperforms that of the neighbor city Nanyang .Based on industries perspective , by measuring the value of the industrial structure , industry contribution rate and so on, it is found that Xiangyang effectively promotes its industrialization by the means of rational allocation of existing industrial resources , industrial structure adjustment , cultivating competitive industries and other initiativesandultimately achieves a breakthrough development of local economy under the joint efforts of structural bonus and the leading industry .
