This paper takes the clay boat model from the Sumerian earliest city of Eridu as a starting point to explore the basic pattern of the"fashion of things"in Mesopotamian culture.Through an analysis of prehistoric artworks in terms of materials, techniques, styles, and concepts, combined with archaeological context and mythological texts, the study delves into the fundamental Sumerian concept of"ME"as the driving force behind the early development of civilization and art in ancient Mesopotamia.
