The Zhangjiashantou site is situated at the southwest foot of Zhangjiashantou mountain in Zhangjiashantou Village,Jiulonghu Town,Zhenhai District,Ningbo City,Zhejiang Province.Archaeological excavations have revealed cultural remains from various periods including the fourth period of Hemudu culture,the late Shang Dynasty to the early Western Zhou Dynasty,the middle and late Spring and Autumn period to the early Warring States period,as well as the Tang and Song Dynasties.The discovery of this site holds significant value in advancing and deepening archaeological research on settlements from prehistory to the Shang and Zhou dynasties in southeastern foothills of Cuiping Mountain.It also contributes to our understanding of ancient people's geographical relationships in Ningbo Plain's coastal area.
