As the southern border county of Qi,Linqu was bordered by the three states of Lu,Chu and Ju,with the Great Wall of Qi stretching across the county from west to east.The Qi knife coins unearthed in Linqu are of early age and has been used for a pretty long time.There are as many as six kinds of Sharp copper knife coins shaped with three characters,four characters,five characters and six characters.As one of the currencies in Chinese history,knife coins were widely used during the Spring and Autumn period and the Warring States Period,which reflects the prosperity of commodity exchanges of Qi benefited from the abundant fish and salt since it was located in the coastal area.Based on the sorting and analysis of the characteristics of casting,circulation and findspots,this paper comes to a conclusion that the Qi knife coins are closely related to the commodity exchanges and economic development in the surrounding areas.
