Based on the rapid survey method of ancient water conservancy relics,25 ancient dams were identified in the northern foothills of Kuaiji Mountain in Shaoxing,11 of which date back to the State of Yue.Through the survey,the distribution of ancient dams in Shaoxing was largely determined,and the basic structure of the water conservancy system surrounding the capital of the State of Yue was understood.This provides important evidence for studying the settlement patterns and subsistence conditions in the region around the capital of the State of Yue.
