The underground palace of Fazangsi in Yixin,Jiangsu Province is a new form of zhuanlunzang underground palace which appeared in the middle and late Northern Song Dynasty. The underground palace of Fazangsi unearthed a lot of relics, and similar underground palaces have also been found in Jiangsu,Zhejiang and Shandong, which is closely related to the promotion of the status of Buddhist scriptures in the Sarīra burial in the Song and Liao Dynasties. There are some offerings related to Tantrism found in the underground palace of Fazangsi, including Buddhist scripture, sacred utensils, statues and mantra. But these Tantrism factors are scattered and mixed.Influenced by the secularization trend of the society in the Song Dynasty, the underground palace of Fazangsi also has obvious secularization characteristics in terms of offerings, support forms and participation groups.
